Slave Buying. How pushy is too pushy?

This game, is in fact, a game. At the very most you could say it's a hobby, given the amount of investment people make. In either case, games and hobbies are supposed to be fun and they're supposed to be optional.

Arelith has a community of 100+ active players. Not everyone is going to want to do, or is going to enjoy, the same things. As it is with life, so should it be here. Ideally we are all considerate, open-minded and trying to create an environment which focuses on as many people have fun as possible.

You may not agree with this approach, that's fine. Maybe you just want to run dungeons, or focus on you. Doesn't matter. As a bare minimum in this community, as it should be in life: Consent can only be given, it can never be taken & No means no.

As this thread, and the existence of other threads on the topic of IG slavery demonstrate, the RP is fraught with risks and should be approached with OOC caution and respect. Whenever you are dealing with a slave and touching on anything which could be remotely sensitive, I would always recommend reaching out OOCly and requesting permission. It doesn't take a lot of effort or time and if nothing else it will help put the recipient at ease, because you're showing the player respect, even if your character may not.
