The new damage types are essentially an expansion of NWN's EffectDamage function. That means it depends on the implementation :)

Will aboleths and mindflayers and stuff do psychic damage now, or will it remain physical/magical?
And if so does this mean that spells that protect from mind immunity will protect from their damage? Don't think this was the case in the past.

mind-blank* (and other spells similar to it) wouldn't grant immunity to psychic damage. Mind-blank* protects from mind-altering spells, but it doesn't protect you from mind-damaging spells or effects. You're not immune to damage or the death effects from phantasmal killer or weird if you have mind-blank*.

What about just mind immune creatures then?

Because the update makes it sound like they would be immune to psychic damage, but that hasn't been the case up until now.
So is this a tiny situational buff for Epic Mummy Dust?

Also. Are you sure? I'm pretty sure mind blank does protect against those spells?

Their damage has been changed to psychic, yes. However I've made it so mind immunity spells aren't protecting against mind blasts reliably, there is a scaling chance for the damage to bypass the immunity.

I’m trying to wrap my head around assassinate damage no longer working against crit immune pcs. It’s not a huge thing but it’s a thing.
