This could be wishful thinking but the feat says:

No longer gives +2 ab, instead removes Areliths -8 ab penalty for moving while using ranged weapons. This means you can kite enemies with WASD while on horseback without penalty.

It mentions moving while using ranged weapons and kiting? Does this mean what it says or simply the old stop, shoot, run, repeat.

One can indeed kite (WASD + shoot projectiles out the back) with Mounted Archery. Note that longbows and heavy crossbows will receive a penalty while wielded on horseback.
