Can DMs replace missing items?

Post by Rescorla » Mon Jun 26, 2023 9:13 pm

A few days ago another player started the work on a Desperado's Rainment for my swashbuckler. They got it to 17%. I logged in today to see if I could find another tailor to continue working on it and the partial item isn't in my inventory anymore. If necessary I can provide the character name of the tailor to confirm they initiated the crafting project.

I’ve got an answer but it isn’t gonna be satisfying. Arelith doesn’t replace missing, lost items. However, you can always send a report in to see if some weird bug ate your item or if an accident happened and it was left on the crafting bench. Sorry to bear the bad news.

Those are the only two possibilities to explain what happened.

Usually these get lost by mistakenly leaving it in a crafting bench, or lost due to muling and so on. Either way it's one of those "When bad things happen to good adventurers" situations.

Look after your belongings!

Try harder! Help set a good example of roleplay for the server culture.
