Overwriting item descriptions & names

Post by D4wN » Fri Feb 09, 2024 11:44 am

Is there a way I am not aware of to still allow custom descriptions & names added when there's no 'take possession' or 'rename' option available in the basin menu for items, weapons and armour?

You'll be able to do it if you use dweomercrafting to improve the item. Doing so marks it as under your possession, unless it is already tagged to another player's name.

And if there's no possibility to dweomer it? I assume then you can't overwrite it?

If it's a stackable item, another method is when you're crafting more of the same item, remove the original stack from your inventory before putting in your crafted batch, then add the old stack back. The old stack should merge with your new crafted stack, and it should properly belong to you.

That's correct. Better to just make something fresh if you need a different name/description.

Thanks! Unfortunately that's not possible with some items I have as they can't be made, but appreciate the confirmation it's not possible to do this.
