Checking player log files from the past

Post by TyroNaack » Sun May 26, 2024 5:37 pm

I have had a few events I wish to review that happened a few days ago.

I did not think to take a photo of my screen to preserve the chat at the time.

Is there a way, and steps to take to review the chat logs in reference to my character from a said date/time/character ?

Where would I review these steps to ensure I am doing them correctly?

Thank you for reading my post.

There aren't any steps, that I know of, to recover unsaved logs.

There definitely are steps you can take, moving forward, that you can do to ensure you keep logs.

I highly recommend getting the nwn log rotator. It's a tiny program that simply exports your game log into a readable format before it's overwritten by the game after every start.

It takes a few minutes to set up but it's a 'set it and forget it' and it's something I always recommend people do.

So we're very much on track.
