Simple suggestion. I propose deity changes don't cost any piety until level 5. This way, new characters who picked the wrong deity can change it freely without having -100 piety at low levels and being unable to recover it without long prayer sessions or donations from wealthier, higher level players.
Deity changes are free up to level 5.
