Halloween!

Post by Stath » Fri Oct 31, 2014 8:45 am

Halloween isn't really a big thing in downunderland, but it's kind of caught on with the young kids and such! I had a cereal box -full- of crunchies, flakes, cherryripes and stuff, and it's all gone. Gave three out to each kid, but then for the Neighbour's, they got six each.

HALLOWEEN THREAD. WHAT DID YOU DO, OR ARE DOING, FOR HALLOWEEN? Not responsible for pimples or chocolate regret since 31/10/2014.

Going to eat Japanese with my girlfriend. I dropped my wallet somewhere so we don't get to do anything special this year. Just. . . going out to eat and going back home to watch a scary movie or three.

Aw man that sucks! I'm sorry to hear that. I don't mean to make fun of you, but rather with you, but I dropped my wallet is actually a pretty good excuse for when you're out with friends, or something. I'm sure you'll have a good one anyway!

Actually not doing anything this year. Stuff has proverbially hit the fan, so I have to concentrate on that. Next year it will be the zombified necromancer...

Hope things are better for you next year Tash!

Ahahahha no, I just filled a plastic cereal container with chocolates and stuff.

It's great isn't it Titania? That unfair favouritism though. Kinda makes me wish it was around when I was a kid.

The kids and grands and I are going to the grand's church for a fair, dressing up of course. And likely eating far too much dye and GMO corn syrup.

I'm taking my sister around the neighborhood and trick-or-treating there, she's even going to make me dress up as mummy while she's dressing up as her favorite D&D character. Unfair, I say!

I'm certainly not doing anything horrible.
Certainly not in Cordor, either.

For Halloween I intend to log into a less-visited area of Arelith (The Underdark) in the hope that I won't transform into/be attacked by zombies, ghosts, or any other spectral entity.

If that fails I can always retreat to the toolset.

Put on a tophat and yell "Bah humbug!" at any child who approaches, seeking candy.

Potions. Blood sacrifices. Praying to Hecate that the Hallows Eve is favourable for my hexes. Whittling bones. Humming madly. Muttering rhymes to my jar of eyeballs. Selling organs to neighbourhood children. Warning everyone that life will end some day. Listening to A Lot of slowed down children's Halloween songs with various documentaries about steelworks in the background.

Or halloween, depending on which you prefer ;)

Make sure to be careful if you're on the roads(whether trick-or-treating or behind the wheel)

Kids toured the neighborhood dressed, in descending order of age, as a zombie ninja, SHIELD agent Maria Hill, and Batman. I was mortified by the lack of coordination, or even adherence to one universe, but am now waiting patiently for them to drop off so I may raid their candy uninterrupted.

Giving out candy. Only, kids don't do trick-or-treat here anymore, the local news having convinced parents that people are going to be giving away their expensive weed candy to random children (as if the imaginary threat of poisoned candy and apples with razors in them hadn't wrecked the holiday badly enough already).

Oh well, I guess I'll have to eat all this candy myself. Please don't throw me in that there briar patch.
