Re: ADJECTIVALS/DEMONYMS OF ARELITH!
Biz here was a constant subliminal hum, and death the accepted punishment for laziness, carelessness, lack of grace, the failure to heed the demands of an intricate protocol.

I forgot about Wharftown, wow. -- I'll add them up top. I am just taking tallies for what people say here, sifting that, and then running them by the Gronmeister before adding them to my lists though. Not so much a ONLY CAN BE ONE.
Re: ADJECTIVALS/DEMONYMS OF ARELITH!
Since this is on the same sort of topic - halflings are often referred to as "hin". Is the plural of that "hin" or "hins"?
Was Lloyd Grimm, Sai Aung-K'yi, Stink Spellworped, Ikarus, and Revyn the White.
Re: ADJECTIVALS/DEMONYMS OF ARELITH!
The plural is also hin.
Hin, as an aside, is a word primarily used among the lightfoot halflings who are (the majority) of halflings which interact with the rest of the races. It isn't even a word of their original ur-sprach - it is actually a Calishite word which I think that Lightfoots adopted after they were a slave rave by the ancient djinni and later human empires. It meant something along the lines of diminutive slave or something not very nice. The lightfoot diaspora in the realms sometimes uses the word, alongside halfling and a few others, as most of them speak common - not even their "racial language" as it is mostly spoken in Luiren (a place the lightfoot left long ago).
Stronghearts are fairly rare outside of Luiren and the Ghostwise are in self-imposed exile in the Chondalwood and tend not to "speak" at all preferring to use their special powers among themselves.
There probably is a word that in "halfling" means halfling but it has never been established.
There are a couple of disconnects though such as the "Hin Fist", which is based in Luiren being known as that. But then I suppose thats reconciled through the idea most Halfling Realmslore is known to us through the lens of tallfolk and the Lightfoots and Hin Fist is probably not its literal name there.

Most of those look right to me/are what I've always used myself - apart from echoing 'Guldorandi' being more common than 'Guldorander'.
I also prefer 'Kholingan' (sort of like how a person from Turmish is Turmishan) over Kholinger, but you'd have to ask the pirates and the bone zone what they'd prefer these days.
Also.

I refuse to accept "Guldorandi" and will never say it.
Re: ADJECTIVALS/DEMONYMS OF ARELITH!
Agreed. Can we just go with Guldorlander? Seems a proper cultural nod.Party in the forest at midnight wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 1:20 amI refuse to accept "Guldorandi" and will never say it.

Much like people from England are English, Scotland are Scottish, someone from Guldorand is Guldorish.

There are a large number of non-dwarves who are citizens of and/or primarily tied to Brog. Various gnomes and humans and others.HoneyMead wrote: ↑Sat Jan 01, 2022 3:16 pmBrogendenstein is usually just "Dwarves" commonly, i dont think one goes up the mountain to visit the Brogendensteiners, or Broggers, I think given the structure and racial focus of the place it's unique for this particular topic. I like Guldian for Guldorand. Gulders when referring to a group. Guldorandi is atrocious.
