Strength - The ability to Crush a tomato
Dexterity - The ability to accurately throw a tomato
Constitution - The ability to digest a rotten tomato
Intelligence - The ability to know a tomato is a fruit
Wisdom - The ability to know not to put a tomato in a fruit salad
Charisma - The ability to speak well of the tomato even though it ruined your fruit salad

Wisdom - Not believing what people always tell you
Intelligence - googling the first line and seeing if you get any hits to answer your question

I'd still give him credit if he had read it at some point in the past but remembered it. Less credit then making it up on the spot.... cause I've heard the fruit salad comparison before.... BUT still credit!

Oh.... and that would fall under Intelligence for remembering ;)

This was the explination I received from my first ever DM when I started playing DND when I asked how stats worked. I just felt it fit the topic, so I posted it. Guess it falls under "I heard it before and remembered". It is now how I describe stats to my players now that I am the DM

I always preferred the version where Charisma is selling people your tomato-based fruit salad.

Then Credit where credit is due.

Wonderful example DaTexican!

wisdom is being able to put two and two together.
it is a stat that can lead to a lot of controversy and intrigue. Be careful with it.
Whatever action one takes IG, con be explained by something logical.
