Staters

Post by Twily » Fri Dec 05, 2014 6:43 am

I just noticed today that staters were added to the regular server. Thank you, whoever did that! :D

PS: To those who don't know what a stater is, you can put 125g in a gem scale, and get a 100g gem. It's a way one can semi-safetly* store money on their person without needing to use banks.

*You won't lose it on death, but you'll be more likely to loose larger amounts to a pick pocketer than you would have if it was left as coin instead of gems

They are here for a long while already.. I remember using them first on Arelith Regular something like half a year ago.
And yeah they have their uses.

So ... let me ask ... you can put ... say ... 2000 coins on the scale and get a fire opal?

No. You get a stater or staters which can only be returned to gem scales for gold.

This is amazing! This is a great way for bank-averse characters to store gold. Nice touch.

Going to Q&A forum now to ask more. :)
