I will always remember the time when Elinee sat at the campsite with Nadjia for a rest and some lunch, and then a random Banite man sat with us among others.

It was a simple roleplay scene that can only happen in Arelith, where our characters would meet.

Fast forward when you made Nerenthis... we have interacted in Port Azoun because Nerenthis was worried that Lilah's actions would change the sailing life we all love, in Sencliff. It was unlike the campsite and it was a tension-filled roleplay, but I appreciate Nerenthis, all the same, and how he tried to make peace among his friends and allies.

Ner'enthis was the little father figure Victor never knew he needed. The Shadowclaw took him in when he was like a violent mongrel at Oobaki's behest, and managed to direct and utilize that mongrel, as well as teach him how to be a merchant. He went from a near mindless madman to someone with not only survival skills, but thriving. Ner'enthis was close to what could be called a handler for him at times, but he would have killed anyone who ever laid a finger on Ner'enthis.

For the vacant, broken creature Victor was, he found himself adoring Ner'enthis and the Shadowclaw.

It’s been two months since I posted my farewell and moved on.

Thank you all, for your kind words and for sharing things that touched my heart.

My wife and I had our 20th wedding anniversary today, and I thought you would all appreciate an update.

My health hasn’t improved, but my family and I had the best Christmas in nearly a decade, and things are going well.

May the new year bring you all joy and new challenges to overcome!
