Cordor's Political Upheaval

Post by Aradin » Sat Jan 20, 2024 4:39 pm

Just wanted to write a quick kudos to players and staff involved in Cordor's dissolution of its previous government, the destruction of the government structure itself, and the coming rise of noble houses to power. It's a refreshing change of pace for the settlement system and I think with it comes great potential for both personal character stories and large-scale events.

I don't know all the behind the scenes, but watching the rise of poverty in the slums, which lead to provoking the historic tensions between Cordor and the Banite congregation, which ballooned into an assassination and most of the government resigning, and now has transitioned into an entirely new government structure forming? I think it's such a great example of DMs and players working together and bouncing off each other to lay down an interesting narrative. And there's certainly much more tension and story to come. Kudos to everyone who's been a driver of this.

Democracy is dead!

Trying our best to make Fuedal Cordor Time. Yep.

Huge shoutout to Ginny for bringing that about, as it was their idea from the ground up.

It was rather a clever move on the Cordor noble's part to take advantage of the slum's plotline/death and twist it into a power grab.

Even my Sencliff Pirate got involved...

Hats-off to everyone and thanks for the RP it generated for my character.

It's cool to see things shake up like that. I only get to observe, but I think it's an exciting twist that sort of breaks the mold.

Feudal Cordor sounds good enough to maybe get me to reinstall NWN for a bit and check Cordor out.

Really wasn't a big fan of the whole modern day democracy being shoved into a King-ruled city state.

Lot of opportunities that'll come with it. Feudal Cordor is gonna be dope.

Watching from Guldorand like this. Seems intense and pretty interesting stuff that is going on over in the south!
