Hey guys, I'm still here, floating in low orbit around the server. Fun facts about my post-pandemic life: In the past few months I completely uprooted my life and drove across the entire US, I still haven't found a job because life is a never-ending absurdity, I caught a bad case of the ol' COVID-19, and I think I narrowly missed a stroke at one point (which now lends a new context to my typical brain-damaged decision making). BUT. in spite of all the chaos, there is a silver lining. Because my husband has 5 GameStop shares and we've already made enough off that to cover a month and a half of rent. What a time to be alive.

Anyways, now that I'm no longer a disease-ridden living corpse, I've been drawing again. Hallelujah.

Admittedly most of what I've been drawing isn't really presentable because I've been trying to make a Shar squad anime intro sequence, and animations are kinda hard to really..... demonstrate their progress for, before a certain point in production. But it'll be cool. (God I hope it'll be cool, I've spent something like 15 hours on it already)

Don't worry though I do have at least one meme.



I also have been running a pen & paper game for some Arelith folks that have been amazing fun. I drew tokens for them to use while tabletopping. In hindsight I didn't really need to do that because no one moves their characters around on the board pretty much at all so they're mostly just here to look nice.



I really do miss playing here and contributing to the server, so it's honestly only a matter of time before I'm back in the saddle. I just need life to calm down and give me some more free time. Until then, I will continue to lurk in incognito mode and meme from the shadows.

i cant wait to be more involved in current in-game events so i dont use outdated character references for all my nonsense memes

the more time goes on, the more soj turns into lord voldemort. all he needs now is a yuan-ti harem and lots of weird wizard racism.

anyways, now that im Fraternizing With the Enemy, i finally get to make memes about selunites. balance is gradually being restored to the universe.




even though lorelei is sitting on the shelf, i like to imagine somewhere out there she's fighting the good fight in a bitter battle over her divorce settlement

i also still really want to finish my corpse theater rough draft from forever ago, even though its super outdated now and theres probably like 12 more keepers that wouldnt be included in it. (if it doesnt turn out to be the ugliest thing under the light of god, i might try to schmooze irongron into making it an in-game fixture)

im slowly but surely trying to work on having cooler backgrounds and also learning how to properly digital paint because i am sick and tired of my own insufferable mediocrity

must suck terribly to have people barge into your home and start whinging about how you are a menace and must be excised
like, man, I'm trying to watch Netflix and drink some blood

im in a terrible spot because i have all this stuff i wanna draw but my hand is CRAMPING like CRAZY and i just CANNOT DRAW for more than an hour or else i will be gripped by a ceaseless compulsion to AMPUTATE

Real talk, the Selûnite squad right now is laying down some of the best roleplay and most engaging personal storytelling I've ever seen on the server and every last one of them is a treasure.

Anyways, there's also some Thayans running around and y'know, Thay a'ight fam



As much as I like playing a goody two-shoes, i do miss my sharran buddies. There's so many new people in the faction that i have yet to interact with but they seem pretty cool. Here's a sketch I made for one of them.



And last but not least, I have channeled the spirit of the illustrious Miranda Magna who guided my hand in putting one of her journal sketches to paper. Or, you know, digital paper.



That's all this go-round, keep feeding me awesome and inspiring roleplay as always, so i have something to crib off of for the sake of silly meme sketches

No drawing today, as I've been out of state for the past week-ish and am landing back home tomorrow, but there's something I've been thinking about that I'd love to act on as soon as I'm back on home soil...

There's a ton of super talented artists on this server and I think it'd be really fun to do art trades and collabs and stuff together. If anyone's interested in doing something like that (heck, I might even try my hand at organizing some form of artist event type deal), or even just generally interested in hanging out and talking about art, hit me with a PM on the forums or talk to me on Discord (@magistrasa#1303). I've always felt like I've learned a lot from interacting with other creatives and I'd be happy to have the chance to learn from some of the awesome people here.
