Journey to the darkness

After the revelation in the sands of desert Upir became more focused. He thought he was here in Arelith to make Tempus a temple. But it was a dumb idea from the start. Tempus is not worshipped in the halls of beautiful temples, but in the bloody battlefield by warriors of both sides of conflict. But if Tempus was to be worshipped in Arelith war had to be a constant part of life.

Now with the path clear Upir just had to make te correct allies. He started listening rumors and collecting information from friends. He was in look for drows and he knew they would not be easily found. He heard in Simbayad there was an elf who used a big halberd and he was always with the face covered. Gossip were that he was a drow. It took 5 days of watch to find this elf. He was no drow but accepted to show the way to Underdark in exchange for 10 thousand coins.

Upir accepted the price as long as he could bring a friend with him. The necromancer Zeyn accepted to come along and they left Simbayad using a portal to Bamble woods...and from there it was a long travel north, passing the forest of dispair. The elf was silent most of the time, but gave us useful information about the drows and even showed us the entrance to the elven city. Upir noticed he had a ring to activate the portal for the elven city...this information might be useful someday. They travelled north to the road of minmir until they found a cave full of ogres.

And it was there deep in the cave the entrance to underdark. The elf asked for the 10000 coins and upir considered if it was better to give the gold or to keep the elf as a gift to the drows. It was better to have the elf show the city so the money was given and the tour continued until the gates of Andunor. There the elf left upir and Zeyn...the drows looked at the two humans disgusted but it was not time for fear. Upir had a mission and no one dears to interviene in the will of the gods. Now it was time to seek for new allies in the darkness of underdark.

As Upir and Zeyn entered the great drow city of Anduran two things became clear to Upir. First that he was in the correct path - The drow showed great hatrid toward surfaces and their city was so big that equalled Cordor. A direct conflict between both would be a fenomenal war.

The second thing Upir realised was that it would be a challenge to accomplish his task. Drows looked at them both with disgust. Any attempts to talk with them were responded in a different language. They would not speak common and upir had no idea how to speak uncommon. Upir and the necromancer went to the market in hope to talk with shop keepers...money is always an incentive...but even there things were hard. A human came talk to us, he said there was bounties on our heads and that it was unwise to walk around like that.

It was fortunate Zeyn had a reputation amongst the pirates, the human accepted to give us aid and showed us the way to Devil`s table where Upir managed to find the temple. There he left a letter asking for an audience with the priestess of Lolth. Drow hatrid towards surfacers were to be expected, but that was not a mission of surfacers...that was a divine task and another priest would know better than to refuse an audience to a priest of Tempus.

Zeyn returned to the surface while Upir decided to wait for the response in the outpost of underdark. There he would wait the answer and endure the hatrid and prejudice. As faith guided him there and faith was all that mattered to Upir.
