Arching of Wood - A Fey Familiar's Perspective

Post by SongSinger » Mon Mar 01, 2021 11:56 am

"From the seed it grew and rooted deep in the earth,
A tree proud but young,
Its forest was taken by the toll of time,
And so that tree now faced the sun,
It's grasp would deepen in the earth,
With earnest goal to bloom,
But winter comes as always it must,
Perhaps it will come time to sleep soon,"
Iyr'varsis - "In a City of Heretics, perhaps I am the most heretical."
Emeryn, 'Archer the Archer' - "You seem a damber sort, let's have a drink!"

"Observance and grace was a blessing offered and accepted.
The dawn chanced upon words of reconciliation and kindness,
A sorrow divulged, but the melody of healing was attended,
Arching of Wood did as the human did best-
Savored sweet the nectar of life, and rejuvenated the weary spirit drained of theirs.
Their time had mattered and hadn't, their conflicts current mattered and didn't.
There was only trust, and companionship- only expression and longing.
The arrows were loosed, and the mark struck- time will tell if his aim was true."
Iyr'varsis - "In a City of Heretics, perhaps I am the most heretical."

"How swift a feature twists from brightness to grim dusk,
How tested a heart in the face of what is right, and what is perceieved,
When curiosity crashes upon the shore of reality would his hands remain clean?
When truth crashes upon the anvil would his heart remain as warm as the furnaces of man?
Why does the Arching of Wood search, despite his fears, despite his hopes?
Why does the human spirit never quite seem to fail to entertain and amuse this one?

Know not, but watch always. The result is always surprising.
Know yet, and always at their side, until they too depart."
Iyr'varsis - "In a City of Heretics, perhaps I am the most heretical."
