Hey folks.
As you are noticing through various shouts, and more resets than usual, we're still working on the lag issues.
Good news, we were able to rule out DDOS. So we are not facing an external attack. Bad news, we're still doing experimental stuff in the background to try and find the elusive cause of it.
We'll keep you updated on what is going to change over the next days, what we are working with, and what we are attempting to do. We'll spare you the nitty gritty details of individual pings, blobs, graphs and anlytics we are doing, but we will let you know if whatever we are doing has significant impact.
This reset cycle, we're only doing some further background logging changes in the hopes that that might help narrow things down further, so you shouldn't see massive impact, changes or have high expectations to it.
Each test going forward, we are doing gradually as in: do a change, monitor, do a change, monitor, etc.
This lag issue is as frustrating to us, as it is to you. Most of our team members would much rather spend their time either playing (lag free), or coding new content for the server. Instead, we are all focusing on this one thing... The Lag...
But do know, we are working on it, and we are spending all the time we can spare on this.
Thank you all for your patience with us throughout it all, and sticking with us. Your encouraging words on and off servers also are really helpful. So thank you all for those, too.
