Party friendly Blade Barrier

This spell is seldom used because of several obvious reasons
1) It hurts the caster.
2) It hurts the caster's summons.
3) It hurts the caster's party.
However, unlike Firewall and Ice wall, this spell has the potential to deal an even greater damage, thus making it unsuitable for just "Making it party-friendly" since it can deal 120 damage a round when maximized. Of course, it also has a drawback, in wich it's vulnerable to EVASION.
Considering most enemies, In almost every situation, it's better to cast an empowered elemental wall before Blade barrier.
The idea in this suggestion is making the spell a better choice on a cleric's spellbook.
Possible fixes:
1) Make the base damage fall in line with that of an empowered fire-wall/ice wall as a party-friendly spell.
2) Make it party-friendly, preserve the damage "as is" and add a 6 or so seconds cooldown, so it can't be haste-spammed out of the blue.
3) Make it party-friendly but also, modify it so that you can maintain only one blade barrier at a time, and casting a second one cancels the first.
