Shake it up and out pops your favorite halfling or goblin messenger for a one shot conversation that works exactly like it normally does, or maybe something new that gets a message out (genie messenger? I don't know). This is to respond when you're otherwise very unavailable to reply.
Price each bottle (one use only) around a few hundred gold and you've got a nice gold sink as well as a convenient in game way to say, "Hey please don't stand around for hours waiting for me. I'm not coming."
