Is a multiclassed warlock even remotely viable?
They're clearly not designed for multiclassing but the idea of a 3-5 level rogue dip for extra skills and set trap amuses me.

It's very common to multiclass feylock with a blackguard dip. There's a sample build on the Arelith wiki if you want to look at it. Otherwise they aren't very good for multiclassing.

Considering you need 25 levels to attain the final fiend summon. I'd argue otherwise.
There are several classes where 5 (or 4 or 3!) levels is enough to get some of the extra flavors of class benefits.
Loremaster - You can squeeze in some secret knowledge and tap into the epic abilities like -yoink or -ward, great if you've already invested in Greater Spell Focus anyway.
Shadowdancer - You can hips at 5 levels, which you should have at least some dex to work with considering your touch attacks. Doesn't give lockpick as a class skill sadly.
Blackguard - Great compliment for just saves and the like more than anything else.
Knight - A little more unusual, but 5 levels gets you the full suite of support cds.
Zhentarim Operative - Requires approved token, but 5 levels gets you a bunch of tasty feats. (Optimal? Probably not but I'm just tossing around ideas at this point. And anyone who knows me knows, I am not optimal. Being trackless would be nice though.)
Specialist - Honestly you could probably just dip your toes in for 3 and get that one bonus feat while rounding out lots of skills and such.

Beyond the blackguard dip it's doable if you want for some gimmick (like getting an ESF from loremaster) but like any gimmicky build you have to know what you're giving up. The level 28 feylock ability is shadowshield which you can live without (blackguard dip's saves and divine shield offer a lot more.. other classes not so much except to satisfy your need for a special gimmick which I wholeheartedly understand and endorse.)
27 fiendlock/3 something else is still going to have a strong blast and summon pit fiends so you're still really strong, but you would be giving up ice storm which is really strong in a warlocks hands (and your only spell that significantly damages a crowd IIRC). I don't think giving that up for set trap is a great trade and you have access to hide/ms already and can cross class and use gear for open lock, disable trap and (I think) set trap. So, I wouldn't and if I was going to dip on a warlock it wouldn't be that, but if it's something you really really want to do it's not going to make the character completely unplayable or anything.
