Cav/WM Weapon of Choice question

Hello everyone, I've been following a build from the wiki to level up a Ftr/Cav/WM and got some question about the Weapon of Choice feat.
This build
I noticed they choose WoC: lance at the first level of WM (Clvl 13), but i read in the wiki that Cavalier gets it for free at lvl 8(Clvl 22 in this build)
so i was wondering if they do this just to gain access to it early?, or is there some other interaction once you get at Cav 8 already having WoC: lance? and could i get instead something like WoC: halberd / naginata instead and wait to get the WoC: lance for free....?
Anyways, if anyone could elucidate the reason behind that particular decision on the build i would be much grateful, thanks!

Those builds are outdated, so that's probably the reason. According to the Discord, it's best to follow the builds here:

You will notice there are no Cavalier 10 builds, as the spirited charge damage from 4 levels of Cavalier is about the same as that from 10 levels of Cavalier.
There is also no reason to take 10 levels of weapon master, as the 10th level no longer grants an additional +1 AB, that was reverted (the wiki shows the correct AB progression for weapon master).

Darn, sad to know that i was following an outdated build, but thanks for the clarification and the link to the builds!

Why was this spreadsheet recently (<48hr) locked and made private?
Wiki is out of date, and the latest is locked from view?

The spreadsheet had nothing to do with anyone involved with Arelith. The owner decided to lock it.
Some others are working on a replacement.

Who made the builds? Is there any update on the replacement build set? If it's done I would definitely benefit from a Cav/WM 'template' so I can sort of see the idea (stats, skills, number of levels per class etc.) and then tweak it for a different race.
