Notebooks: Can they get Overwrite protection?

Could that be added to the Notebook item? Sometimes notebooks when they've been renamed will let your overwrite everything and it'll end up destroying your messages.
If lawyers are disbarred and clergymen are defrocked, shouldn't it follow that cowboys would be deranged?
