That would make for cool instructor or apprentice RP for sure.Dreams wrote: ↑Sun Apr 04, 2021 12:57 amA cool thing specific to UCL would be a command to be able to choose what UCL you want to summon at. Gaining UCL would unlock tiers, but you choose the preferred tier with the default being the highest available tier.
This would lead to necromancers having the choice of what they’re wanting to summon out of the available options. It would be useful in RP and provide more choice for aesthetic.

That would be nice both in regards to this thread and to open opportunities for deception (making someone disrespect you by throwing low lvl summons at them while you plan your moves) and even just to make things interesting if you're fighting someone in lower level.Dreams wrote: ↑Sun Apr 04, 2021 12:57 amA cool thing specific to UCL would be a command to be able to choose what UCL you want to summon at. Re: Rotting imbalance (Necromancer summon thread)
To add to this:
Tyrantfog CR squashes XP gain for early PM leveling. At lvl 5, my 3 wiz/2 pm only gets decent XP at the Minotaur caves/gnipahellir, two parts of skal that are intended for the higher/highest lvl players there.
It sucks, and I can’t even play with other similar lvl evil PCs since I’ll kill their xp gain. And if I group with ones at appropriate lvls for the tougher writs, I won’t be able to make progress on the writ due to the lvl difference.
Switching the warriors and tyrantfogs back would fix this problem, as I don’t remember it being an issue before.

Re: Rotting imbalance (Necromancer summon thread)
It wasn't an issue before. It is a direct consequence of the tier swapping. Apparently the Tyrantfog Zombie has inflated CR, even though its level is the same as the Zombie Warrior. Thus, low level necromancers cannot currently utilize their summons at level appropriate content, as their tyrantfog zombies count as having a level 16(or thereabouts) character in the party.thetadecay wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 8:05 pmTo add to this:

A work-around to this, is to acquire the vampire stream as these are unaffected by the changes - or just tough it out until level 9.

Re: Rotting imbalance (Necromancer summon thread)
That's really sweet, thanks a lot.
Just curious about this, tho...
What does this mean, except that they give a little bit more exp in pvp? Does it make the zombie warrior 'lich' more exp from the summoner because they still count as half party member and are now 4 lvls higher (so it would be like a party member being about 2 lvls higher)? Not sure exactly how it works so this seems like a perfect opportunity to get the idea behind levels and exp and summons.Tyrantfog Zombie (12 to 5) and Warrior Zombie (5 to 9) CR changed

Re: Rotting imbalance (Necromancer summon thread)
Can report that the fixes are working just fine, but I had a question about UCL:
I'm running a necro specialist wiz/PM, and according to the wiki necro specialists get +2 UCL. It also says PMs get their lvls added to wiz for determining UCL.
So, from my understanding, 3 wiz (+2 from necro specialist)/4 PM should yield undead tier 3 summons, as 3+2+4=9. But instead I still get the tier 2 summons. Is this working as intended? Just wanted to bring it up if that was not the case.
