Devil's Table Arena

Post by Yvesza » Mon Jun 20, 2022 12:34 am

Hello! I wanted to give some feedback on the devil's table arena having both taken part in it's use as well as planning to use it for hosting further events.

The four pillars inside of the arena aren't 'real' pillars and cannot be used to sneak or hide, nor will they prevent somebody from blasting / shooting you to death. This can be really limiting to the number of participants because a lot of people that may rely on somewhat underhanded tactics simply cannot realize their characters concept in any meaningful way.
The actual arena is filled with a few objects that while somewhat thematic take up space and block off movement in fairly significant ways, in total there are three 'real' skeletons that you cannot step over, one fake skeleton that you *can* step over, there are two wooden barricades (One of which blocks off the most direct path between two sides almost completely) a large rock that blocks off one corner of the arena quite significantly and finally one overturned dragon skull which is not as close to disruptive to the rest of the objects.

I wanted to bring this up because it's very easy to compare it to the current Cordor arena which is very similar but has no issues with immovable objects and terrain taking up space and also has functional pillars compared to the immaterial ones in the table's arena.
