23 and this is probably the only game/server I currently play where I'm at the younger half of the curve I guess?

31 myself. Been here since about February. I never played table top. Bought a bag of dice though. *Eyes sparkle at all the colours*

Something captures my imagination with DnD and the stories and characters being structured with dice and the random numbers. First encountered it with the Baldurs gate games. Then watched a bit of critial role.

Bought NWN for 2 euro on steam. NWN gets as close as you can digitally, I think. Though I'm sure nothing would ever get as close to people around a table with pencils and paper. It would be too hard to code. Unless such a time as they sell DM artificial intelligence!

i'm 20 years old and i've already wasted my entire life on similar roleplaying platforms

the 30-pluses here have given me comfort that i can continue to waste my entire life on roleplaying platforms (and also have like, a job and stuff)

The poll should allow us to revote again, this way we can see the shift in age groups as time goes on

I'd like to see the same poll but with more fine-grained breakdowns in the age groups, e.g., 16-18, 18-22, 22-25, etc.

40's here - been playing since it came out! Also hubby and I met in NwN

27 here, been playing off and on since 2006. since I was 12....

Looking back at the start, when I was 12-15 I must have been so cringy. God, I don't know how I didn't get banned.
It's probably a good thing I went to playing WoW and Runescape lol. I didn't really start focusing on neverwinter until probably 2011/2012.
That's still a good, 10-11 years nonstop of Neverwinter. I don't want to think how many hours I've dumped into this game. I know EE I have just under 3k hours. then there was pre-EE. When Beamdog took it over and the dark times before that with GoG and very few servers. (Probably close to what, 200-500 players tops for several years spread over Efu, Narfell, Ravenloft, Arelith, CoA, Sinfar and Amia. That was it. Then there was the hours on Gamespy. My brother and I estimate we have played at least 10-15k (At minimum) hours. If only we had used those hours productively. Oh well, water under the bridge.

And yet, I still struggle to make a good character (Though there have been times where a character just took off and went on a rollercoaster of a journey) and only a decent builder. RiP
