Being able to cast light on yourself for better vision is cool. Having permanent lights on equipment is less cool.

Self lighting overwrites any other vision a character may have, such as darkvision and ultravision. It also (depending on settings) casts a bunch of shadows not normally rendered which can drop FPS.

I'd like to request a way to remove the light properties from equipment, an NPC that will perhaps remove the property for an amount of gold or something.

I think this makes sense, better yet to have it as a a feature of an item that can be toggled at will.
