Old notes anomaly

I came across this very strange anomaly today. Old notes and letters no longer date back to their correct date. They all seem to date to exactly Year 139, Month 11, Day 8, Hour 21.

In addition to that, old anonymous letters are no longer anonymous but show as signed by my character (despite not being so).

After taking a closer look on old Message boards, the case appears to be across all old notes. Not a single note dates back to a time older than Hour 21, Day 8, Month 11, Year 139.

This is definitely a shame, as the accuracy of old, recorded history is now lost. Is there any way old dates on notes could be restored to their true dates?

As seen in this screenshot, these notes are supposed to be much older than listed.

Threadomancy, sorry. But does anyone have any idea how to maybe figure out what the dates used to be when this happens?

Other than manually dated notes, none that I have found. It's really a shame, because there is so much history on our server with some notes dating back to even before year 100 AR.

I don't know if it helps but I have notes that I'm pretty sure were never on a message board that haves dates pre year 100. But the ones that came from message boards all have the bug.

This is a known issue. The server timestamp is a 32-bit integer, which means there's an issue with overflow when it ticks over... I forget if it's a signed or unsigned integer, so either 2,147,483,647 or 4,294,967,295. There are sorceries and strange technics in the dark heart of the server which allows it to intelligently reset through these overflows. However, such power comes at a cost, and that cost is very old note dates.

I'm not using flowery language to be cute, it's really just some serious work that's been done. I don't know if they can be backdated through multiple epoch cycles. I'm moving this to Closed, but only because something like this isn't really a bug, it'd be a project.
