Brass Ingot Recipe

Post by cantalyssa » Sat Oct 24, 2020 7:42 pm

Not sure if this fits under suggestions or bug but:

The smithing recipe for Brass Ingots has two ways to make them. You may either:

Recipe 1: ID 206

1 Copper Ingot (2 copper ore, 4 coal)
1 Zinc ingot (2 zinc ore, 4 coal)
2 coal
(2 copper/zinc ore + 10 coal)
to receive 2 Brass Ingots

Recipe 2: ID 511

1 copper ore
1 zinc ore
2 coal
to receive 1 Brass Ingots

These don't match up resource wise and it's quite annoying that the only bulk ingot recipe for brass is available through the Ingot route

Bulk Brass: ID 1088

5 Copper Ingots (10 copper ore, 20 coal)
5 Zinc Ingots (10 zinc ore, 20 coal)
10 coal
(10 copper/zinc ore, 50 coal)
for 10 Brass Ingots.

Not sure if this was an oversight when adding bulk recipes or not, but making brass in large quantities is quite click intensive (because we can only do it 1 at a time for the ores). I can make 10 Brass Ingots for 30 coal less, and the coal is the most expensive part of brass.

If the 511 recipe is supposed to be there I suggest: Can there be an added recipe that matches the second Brass Ingot recipe that uses the ore chunks that matches the same ratio as ID 511?

10 copper Ore
10 Zinc Ore
20 Coal
to receive 10 Brass Ingots

or rebalancing the yield of brass ingots you get when smelting via the ID 206 line to be more than 2 (or removing the ID 511 line)
