Familiar/Animal Companion Name Disguise?

Post by Bunnysmack » Tue Nov 03, 2020 1:04 am

Would it be possible to allow for a command that renames a companion/familiar, or at least allow them to employ -disguise? If someone is attempting to disguise with their companion alongside themselves, or a mage is attempting to try some subtle spying remotely via familiar possession, the name attached to the creature can easily give away the identity of the PC involved in the subterfuge RP, and, outside of levelups, that name can't really be altered. From a WYSIWYG perspective, there would be ways to use magic or mundane means to obscure the features of one's follower, and, as an example of the issue: Would an average observer really be able to tell that THAT pixie familiar is specifically different from the upteenth other pixie familiars that are flying around?
"You're insufferable..."
"That's not true! I can totally be suffered!"
