A method to seal letters

It would be nice if there was a way to seal letters with sealing wax or something like that, so the seal breaks once the letter is read. This would make mail delivery RP more viable, where the sender and receiver have some sort of assurance that the letter has not been read by anyone.
There could be signet rings as well, that give the option to mark a name onto the seal so you know who the letter is from. For example, "A sealed letter bearing [name]'s insignia."
I would also prefer if sleight of hand didn't allow for the seal to be bypassed. If the system can be bypassed people won't trust it for letter delivery, which is the entire reason I'm asking for the system. I think letter delivery would be a cool avenue for shady characters, acting as a middleman and running letters between places.
