Manor of Mourn Key removal

It used to be that when going from the first area up onto the ramparts/courtyard the door there would take any keys from your inventory, so that people could'nt use old keys to skip straight to the boss and it's loot, for some reason this was removed?

I would suggest that this mechanic (to remove keys upon entrance to the ramparts) is put back in place, because it's horrible when you go through a hour+ long venture to find out that someone during the clearing of so many hard zones to get multiple keys snuck in behind you, and looted all thats there.
