Shapeshift Merging Question
If I already have a piece of equipment that gives +4 to universal saves, and I get another piece of equipment that grants bonus to a specific save, would the universal save and the specific save stack or will it only take the universal save?
Re: Shapeshift Merging Question
They both get applied to your hide item when you shift, but they won't ever both apply. Only the higher bonus will apply to any particular save.

Re: Shapeshift Merging Question
Are you certain? + # uni and + # reflex are, for example, two different enchantments. I believe having an item (that merges with your form) with +1 uni and +2 reflex, will result in a +3 reflex.Lorkas wrote:They both get applied to your hide item when you shift, but they won't ever both apply. In the depths, no one can hear you scream...
Well, they can, but it's really muffled.

Re: Shapeshift Merging Question
They are two different item properties in the same way that "Enhancement Bonus" is a different item property from "Attack Bonus" and "Damage Bonus".
If you have an item with a +2 Enhancement Bonus and +1 Attack Bonus, you only get +2 to attack rolls, not +3.
In the same way, if you have an item that gives you +1 UST and +2 Reflex, your character will get +2 reflex from said item. The properties do not stack when they're on the same item, and in any polymorph form, all of your merged item properties go onto a single item: your character's Hide.
I made a ring in the PGCC exactly as the one you described:
Here are the character's saves before, then after. They do not stack.
