Ahriman's Super Kudos!

Post by LegaciesNeverDie »

So I started writing these and then I realized how many I'd have to do and I was like man forget that. I like kudos because Hey Why Not Say Nice Things At People so here are your nice things, people. Everyone likes nice things.

It's going to be a work in progress of the characters I meet. I'm super sorry if your name isn't on the list yet, because chances are it was going to be on the list, and then I got lazy and decided to post what I had so far instead of complete it. Super sorry if I've read your characters wrong, but these are Ahriman impressions.

OKAY

Amadeo Pneuma: Find peace in your surroundings. Do not judge for someone having crossed moral horizons, but seek to help them heal and return to the fold. Ohmmmmm. You're a stellar monk. Like a real one. A proper real monk. You're also super difficult to read, but fascinating! Ahriman wants to take off Amadeo's mask and peel open his brain in a completely non-horrible way to figure out what makes him tick!

Amelia Selana: OMG, I got a giant super-long interview about EVERYTHING, and then on top of that, a giant mountain of gemstones and magical artefacts! If there's one thing an Amnian loves, it's re-appropriating the wealth rightfully earned by others, and you have found this soldier's heart through your generosity. Sooooo much willpower not to keep it all secret. That all being said, I didn't really get to know your character, but you seemed Fun and everyone else was on all about you. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to get to know you better.

Azuilah: I never thought I'd sympathize with slavers before meeting her. There's a lot of villains on this list who are delightfully human, and you're one of them. Talking about her past showed me someone with regrets and aspirations and beliefs and goals like so many others: as far from flat as can be. You and the Andunorians I've met so far have been stellar, but you are the first and opened my eyes to the whole other side of the Outcasts: they're not just evil humans, they're people who have been, well, cast out. <3 You are wonderful and I can't wait to call you in for another interview!

Cossacks: There's too many of you to give individual Kudos, but I love you all! This is such a cool faction and I'm glad I'm swept up in it!

Davit Heth: The Lion of the North in all his glory. Our dedicated schemer and plotter and planner who is most definitely not secretly running all of Arelith behind the scenes. I feel like I could one day sit down and chronicle a dozen war stories from you and not scratch the surface. That being said, when can we steal Cordor's ship and become pirates?

Gabriel Lace: A shockingly terrible person by Ahriman's reckoning, you're a complex delight to deal with. Some of the exchanges we've had, flying between tense and relaxed and furious and comradely, it''s a genuine emotional roller coaster that's brought me closer to Ahriman's headspace than my interactions with any other. I'm glad that we've yet to meet an irreconcilable departure, because Gabriel is a fascinating philosophizer whether she intends to or not. Really bringing some of the darker overtures of the world to Ahriman's eyes. Scarily calm or scarily enthusiastic, you push the bounds of how inhuman a human can be.

Gideion Croix: A morally rich, knightly knight of knightly deeds! Your character seems like one out of a book, a real hero in Ahriman's eyes who would fit just as well in that little outpost in Benwick as he would in any legend of old. You seem historic if that makes sense, but not anachronistic. Super plus-one to you for being an intelligent information sink of a Knight, always apprised and ready for anything!

Ilya Popovich: ALL GLORY TO THE HETMAN! The Cossacks are too cool! You keep everyone in the guild in line with what looks like so much ease. Maybe it's the moustache. Even so, you're seriously such a solid leader, and Ahriman will follow you into the gates of Hell to crusade by your side! I mean, so long as there aren't any bigger, cooler crusades elsewhere he needs to take part in. But seriously, how much cooler a crusade can you get than a Cossack Crusade?

Jenna Le'len: Maybe if I salute her and distract her she won't maul me right awayohmYGOD! My favorite Cordorian official under what I highly suspect is psychopathic duress. It's a new public health hazard every time I see you, and I really hope I survive the next one.

Kaliyah Serafine: You genuinely scared Ahriman and I. This larger-than-life heroine written about in all the books, talked about by everyone, interviewed so graciously and kindly: and then That happened. Oh my god. You're terrifying. You're properly terrifying. I don't know how much I can/should say about spoilers in these, but seriously, you are the actual scariest and I've met Banites and Slavers and all sorts of scary people. I mean it. Ahriman dreads our next encounter, and my reaction is enthusiastic fear! I can't wait.

Ossian Crofter: Only very recently did I get a chance to open up with Ossian, and he's so very vividly real. His emotes and actions and speech paint such a vivid picture that I can see him in my head (which might not be a good thing!). I loved meeting this character and really seeing him the first time, and I've been itching for an excuse to speak with him again since!

Vida Ashby-Dimes: Vida Vida Vida. The soldier's witchy best friend, whether it's good for him or not. He's found many acquaintances but very few friends, and you're chief among the latter. Between your caustic sarcasm, your sudden, inappropriately timed jokes, the wild, contagious enthusiasm for half the world and contemptuous regard for the rest, you never fail to keep both me and Ahriman on our toes trying to figure out how to contend with you. Now that we're neighbors in HQ, he won't hesitate to knock angrily on your door if you keep him awake at night with the sounds of existential nightmares being summoned at three in the morning. That's the worst time to summon them.

This was the funniest part.

Oh, wait- it's a kudos thread. Shucks. Thank you! I look forward to encountering Ari-mon in game again, some time. And I do believe the need to harass send Ahriman an invitation for tea is soon to arise!

Thankyou :) Hopefully once I've moved house I can play more, for longer, and Azuzu can get to meet Ahriman once more and chat for longer. Meeting a character with such a genuine thirst for knowledge, that isn't too~ afraid to meet with the more unpleasant people in the world, is refreshing (I still laugh at the tells afterwards)
It was nice to be able to have the opportunity to flesh out what hides behind all those scars and tattoos ^^

Thank you for the kudos, and allow me to repay in kind. Ahriman is a very rich character who can also make things happen, and always has something of value to contribute to a scene. I'm very happy our characters ran into each other at the time they did, and I hope there will be many more good times in the future.
