I just want a release date. God I hope it’s soon. I want to play on a real laptop.

Plus I love arelith but the thought of seeing a revival in multiplayer with new pws would be interesting. I’ve loved playing on many pws because I like seeing how other people’s imaginations work. A lot of fantastic minds out there.

20 bucks I spend that in a single night of drinking. Sometimes more. And once I get ee I’ll be staying inside for a long time I think

I'll be switching as soon as required. Don't want to "early adopt," though I do hope that Arelith waits until the game is out and for sale and out of early access before mandating the switch.

I don't think anyone is claiming NWN:EE will be bad for the server. If you can't handle some negativity, perhaps it's time for you to leave? The forums aren't supposed to be some hugbox where only positive things are allowed to be said, and everything has to be welcomed with unquestioning love.
The Rules wrote:RULE 4: Be Nice
There is a vast age range that plays on Arelith, for this reason, restrict any conduct you may be involved in to a "PG-13" level of interaction. Unwarranted rudeness, potentially offensive role play, inappropriate sexual references, foul language, harassment, killing non-hostile NPCs without DM supervision, and poor gamesmanship (including wanton destruction, griefing of any kind, exploiting known or unknown bugs, transferring items, logging to avoid consequences, etc) are prohibited.
I would like to remind you that there is a difference between only allowing positive things to be said on the forums and telling other players to grow a thicker skin because you want to be rude. If this defines the forum as a 'hugbox', then that's what it's going to be.

Please remember this when going forward with this topic.
I don't see how that has anything to do with what I said, or what anyone critical of EE has said, barring one or two posters very early on. No one told anyone to grow a thicker skin, either.

This is pretty much telling the player to grow a thicker skin or leave.

Read the context. I was mirroring his words. He was telling everyone to leave if they can't be "wholesome", when he has no right to demand that of anyone, and since he's the one unable to handle the so-called negativity, he should perhaps take his own "advice" rather than telling other people to leave.

Yes, or perhaps neither one of us is wrong, or perhaps only one of us is wrong. I think that covers about all the possibilities.

I believe 3 things are requires before arelith becomes EE
1. The game hits retail.
2. The new NWNX is ready
3. We've been through all the code and it's still running smoothly*

*well... as smooth as it was

Even if 1 isn't a requirement 2&3 Will take time to the point that 1 will have arrived :)

-Steam Workshop support 'eventually'
-If they go out of business, they want to compile the code for the master server and hand it off so NWN doesn't die again

All of this, native? Comparable to some of the better hak-based customisation, then.

Have long standing bugs (like the UV/Darkness one) been able to be tackled on, aswell? With all the tweaking with graphic effects, it could even be gone without actively looking for it, too.

How about the one where save files often end up corrupted?

A harder bug to squash would provably be the memory leak that happens with some CPU/graphics card combos....

I hope they fix the scaling issue with flying critters, where they just fly higher and higher as you scale them up.

Did some crappy notes, if anyone has better ones please replace mine

 No moderation of custom content, occasional community highlights of age-appropriate (teen) content. Beamdog not promoting Sinfar but also not trying to censor them was mentioned directly. (seeing actual people say 'Sinfar' in front of an audience was a strange moment)

 Patches or some sort of progress notes every week or so possibly

 Desire to make a persistant world starter kit with the community

 Far future UI changes

 "Short answer yes" on NWN supporting normal maps

 Plans to make server hosting more stable for higher player numbers
Liareth wrote:One of the great things about this release, is that we've implemented all of the performance enhancements that we used on Arelith, into the base game.
 Module Resource limit being looked at, probably can be increased

 Hakpack auto-downloader being looked at?

 More shaders, better shader support

 Looking at making druids/shifters not polymorphs for things like a Natural Spell feat, apparently

seriously I might've missed something or misinterpreted, feel free to correct me

Probably not the place to ask but there'a this bug where cloaks don't show when the character is mounting a horse. Nudging Beamdog to fix that would be pretty good, but I don't know how to do that.

This is "real-deal" of this stream if it comes to it, as it will spread the game further towards DnD public who might combine it with their already popular streams of their sessions on youtube.

I really do hope this happens. I think it would be something that would persuade a lot of people (especialy hak heavy servers) to give EE a go. It'd make things a lot easier, player side.
This too shall pass.

(I now have a DM Discord (I hope) It's DM GrumpyCat#7185 but please keep in mind I'm very busy IRL so I can't promise how quick I'll get back to you.)
