Blackguard level 1, no piety gain or loss

My character dinged to level 1 Blackguard with the Queen of Air and Darkness as deity, so she has Magic and Deceit and Trickery domains. Since the levelup, she hasn't gained or lost any piety, not by the hourly tics nor by casting spells. The same problem persists on both servers. Don't know what more details to give you. What up, yo?

Not a big. Low level divine classes gain 0.1 piety per hour, so a net change of 0

Oh! Duh. Why don't I gain piety by casting spells though? I used to before the levelup in question. Does the divine mechanic replace the ones charted here under aspects? http://wiki.arelith.com/Deity

EDIT: Checked at an altar, turns out I don't have a deity followed. Is it normal for the followed deity to be un-followed upon entering divine levels?

Oof. Reporting back from the field. I realised my patron was the Queen of Air and Darkness as an elf and I erroneously checked the wikipage that Queen mechanically supports evil elves as followers. Not a bug. Case solved.
