Class Requirements for Crafting

So I just took my first level of Paladin and thought that would enable me to craft a Padded Vestment of the Holy Squire. But for some reason I can't begin production on it. Could I get some clarification on what the exact class requirements are? Like how many levels, or if I need to be a pure class to meet the requirements? Will I even be able to equip the item if I'm just dipping in Paladin? It's kind of a bummer to invest all the time and money in getting the materials only to find out I can't craft it. If I also won't be able to equip it maybe I need to just take the beljuril gem and craft an armor of immolation instead.

The crafts themselves inform the level requirement in the game. Check the crafting recipe again!
This stuff may not be in the wiki yet. And it may be a while before we add it.

just find a crafter to make it for you. if you check your trade book it shows if you need to be a race to start it and checking at a craft station to preview the item gives the required class level to wear it

paladin level to wear 1 takes a dedicated tailor to make it dc 32

Does this mean the crafter has to be a pure paladin class? I have one level in Paladin and 24 in Sorcerer.

Yes I have 42 Tailoring skill. 1 level in Paladin. It won't give me the option to start production on the item though.

As you can see I have all the materials, I have one level in Paladin, and 42 ranks in Tailoring, yet still can't craft the armor.

Yea that's wierd. Unless it's because it's not the base class or need to have all 3 lvls in the class but never seen that before.

Since no one seems to really know the EXACT mechanical requirements to craft this armor, and this seems like it could possibly be a bug, I went ahead and filed a bug report with the previously posted screenshots. Even if it isn't actually a bug hopefully a DM or one of the devs will be able to finally clarify what the issue is.

Yep that's what Opustus said in the Bug report thread I made. Hopefully that is the case. We'll know for sure after I gain a couple more levels!
