Assassin Guild Dagger (Curved Blade)

Post by Durandal »

It looks like the dagger you get for joining the Assassin guild, can be sold for a measly 4 whole gp. Should this be marked as plot?

Sorry I'm bumping a year old thread, but this behavior seems very odd. Too afraid to test if you can sell it and then get another one but going to guess 99.99% of the cases of someone selling it would be by accident.

This sounds like a pretty serious bug. After all, the blade simultaneously serves as a “key” to the assassins’ guildhall, as well as a tool to claim bounties.

Under certain circumstances, this could allow characters without assassin levels (or an assassin token) to do contract work and get paid the respective bounties - or to ‘infiltrate’ the guild.
All it’d take is one assassin player accidentally selling their blade to some NPC without noticing.

I fixed this for you. >.>

Taken in the modified context, it's possible this was left as an on-purpose thing for double-dealing and back-stabbing within a guild of back-stabbery death. It would explain why it's still a thing a year later.

Of course, low priority might also be a thing, and is probably more likely.
