On an almost daily basis, someone new asks "where is the writ guy in Andunor?"... New players need to know this information.
Cordor and Skaljard have this problem solved. To progress to level 3 on Skal, you need to go and talk to him. In Cordor, the delivery quest sends you to the nomad.
I think the writ guy in Andunor needs to either be moved downstairs, or the delivery quest needs to take you to him.

Re: Writ agent, Andunor
Honestly, the entire upstairs area of the Hub needs a rework. It just looks like a big storeroom. Why would anyone put their office up there? It could really be made to be awesome, but right now, it's dark and depressing. Not in an Andunor is evil way, but like a hoarder's house.
Re: Writ agent, Andunor
As much as I love Andunor, and I love all the work the developers have put into it ..I'm really not a huge fan of the Hub. It's got a weird flow and I think I'd be more interested if we opened up the Hub into a more organic, cavern-style bazaar. Enlarge the area & add notable signs for the Deep Delvers Guild.
Re: Writ agent, Andunor
If we're talking about the first floor of the Hub, I'd like to go into a bit of detail on my feelings towards it.
While I like the idea of putting everything in one easy-to-access spot, I feel like the layout of the area means the majority of it goes more or less unused, while everyone congregates to pretty much one spot that becomes a very high-traffic area.
The shops being on the one side is nice. People can do most of their selling in one spot, like Cordor, and only have to leave to sell scrolls and a few other oddments. I do feel it's a little cluttered, though. Like the wagon by the Cordor gates, the main path has a lot of obstacles that probably don't need to be there.
The central area, with the two debating sides, is a neat concept but it takes up at least half the entire Hub, and then entire central area. This leads to pushing pretty much all the RP in the Hub out to the sides, where it's crammed into the hallways. Moving the meeting area to it's own area and putting something more community-oriented in the middle would be fantastic, and I'll come back to this in a minute.
The portal area is really where all the action in the Hub takes place. Everyone crowds into this area and stands around talking, buffing, portaling, going for writs, crafting, pretty much everything. I might be unusual in thinking this, but relatively often, it feels like too much RP. It isn't one or two groups having conversations going, but sometimes 4, 5, or 6 groups all standing around having their own conversation, squished together into what's basically a hallway with benches.
I'd really love to see that RP spread out a little more. Not to be exclusionary towards others joining RP, but rather to make better use of the space, and make it more comfortable. There isn't enough seating in the portal area for everyone, and there isn't room to have communal areas and make it walkable, so it's basically set up like a waiting room, with all the seating pushed against the walls and nothing in the middle.
This is where moving the debate area and opening it up to something else comes in. The middle portion of the Hub, sans spikey debate platforms, would be perfect for the kind of RP that takes place in the Hub. It's large, so there would be enough room for tables, couches, rugs, and all set up to form comfortable areas. Couches facing one another, tables with chairs around them, etc. Sort of like a ski lodge, where the residents of Andunor can continue to do what they already do (gather in the Hub), but in a way that would be a lot more comfortable and make the entire area less crowded. Maybe there could even be a player run bar?
As a last note, I think the Portal could be moved off into a side room. If the portal were moved into the auxiliary shop room, and the shops in that room were moved into the hallway where the portal is now, I feel it would give a nice, consistent feel to the area. The hall that runs along the outside of the Hub is the bazaar area where people shop, post messages, etc. The community could gather in the central area, and the portal could be off to the side, where people coming and going through the portal wouldn't gum up the path.

Re: Writ agent, Andunor
or move the middle meeting area to the second floor and bring the other shops and writ office down and put the portal in the center with everything being around it and make it an open area completely
Yes I can sign
Re: Writ agent, Andunor
There has been a digression, but I will continue on that. One thing I think the Hub really could do with is a temporary shop inside the main part. Having the only temp shop in the West-Wheel, few people actually cross it. It would be a lot better having one somewhere in the Hub.

I'd say move the writ-giver to the Spider's Web and get it away from the hub portal entirely. But I like the writs to be in bars, keeps with the classic D&D notion of meeting up in a tavern before adventuring. Not to mention it would allow people who have enemies to pick up writs with a little discretion.
Actually why couldn't the Underdark have more than one writ-giver? Even if their lists were duplicate, maybe allow people to pick up writs in the Greyport Port Authority too? Or even in the Ogre Trading Post to encourage some activity there-- I think there's potential for at least a few more writs in the surrounding area like the Tribal caves.
Love the idea of moving/adding a temp shop or two to a very visible spot in the hub.
