There's an amazing library for user submitted books in certain location. But...
You can't really have those converted into books you carry with you. There's no mechanism. A faction managing the library were supposed to look into it, but it doesn't look like there was any progress.
It would be good if there was a way (scripted) to request a copy of the book in exchange for money.
It would be great if one of those player submitted books were added as possible drops. Maybe as a rare chance.
Additionally, speaking of book conversion, it seems like extracting book text in any way so you could place it into description is incredibly complicated.
The dialogue with book text does not produce chat window text and therefore it isn't logged into chat log, therefore if you want to copy it somewhere, you're going to have bad time.
On top of that, Beamdog STILL hasn't fixed the limitation on size of spoken text (anything past 300 or so characters is cutoff, and you can't copy-paste stuff with newlines), which makes entering long description a grueling process.
Would be great if something was done about it.
