When I use -a to have my familiar speak Common, it works fine. If I use -a to have them try to speak any other language (languages that I am fluent in) they mess up words and get letters wrong as if they weren't fluent. However, if I possess them, they can speak that language fine.
It feels like this probably shouldn't be the case...right?

Re: Familiar Language Bug?
I suppose it's like you ordering your dog to pick up something when it hasn't been trained to do so.. or possessing your dog and then picking said item up.
Your familiar hasn't learned a language, so unless it's -your- mind in the familiar, why would they speak the languages you know?

Re: Familiar Language Bug?
That makes *logical* sense, but it's still annoying to deal with as a game mechanic haha. Ah well.
