Mining Silver with a Pickaxe does not appear to produce any difference to using a regular weapon (in the Underdark). I have tested this on the other metals in that tier (mithril most recently) and it works just fine.

Steps to reproduce
----------------------------

Use a pickaxe on a silver deposit

Expected result
-----------------------

The yellow text message comes up telling you that you are using the right tool for the job.

Actual result
-------------------

You get no message suggesting that the pickaxe is not doing its job.

if your a strength character.. mining tools have no effect.
it's mostly for characters for low strength and attack per round. as least that's how i understood it.
not sure if it's the case with you, but i figured it was worth saying if you wasn't aware.

Regardless of the character's stats, when you use the tool on an ore deposit you get the appropriate yellow text. It doesn't appear for Silver ore deposits (for me, anyway).

I can confirm the mining pickaxe is not working on Silver anywhere. It's easily noticed as it takes many many less attacks on non-silver ores. And it wields far less too (although this last one might be intentional).

It doesn't seem to work on non-static silver spawns on other servers, either. At least for me.

A nudge here. I had the same issue mining on the surface.

My mining pickaxe seems to work properly (text feedback, quickly stripping the node down) in everything I've tried it on *except* silver nodes specifically.

Works on:
Coal
Iron
Gold
Copper
Tin

Does not work on:
Silver
