Repeated Abyss Portalling bug

Description - entered Abyss thru the Talossian Portal. Died, respawned in Cordor Outskirts. Waited out rez sickness, ported to Sibayad. Ended up back in Abyss not Sib. Tried to teleport out to Malar Forest. Ended up back in Abyss. Waited 10 mins, tried to port out to Cordor Frontiers, ended up back in Abyss. Waited 10 more, tried to port out from Abyss, ended up back there .. you get the picture

A player tried to summon me out, got to Shadow Cordor, used the Temple Portal to Cordor Outskirts, ended up Abyss

Another player Summoned me to Cordor, I got there and logged.

a day previous my friend Adar also tried to portal from the Abyss to Cordor frontier and found himself back in the Abyss

The Abyss had been at the top of my portal list so I wonder if it was endlessly defaulting back to that? (Cordor Frontier is now Number 1! thanks Aeradir for the tip)

I literally walked from Cordor farmlands to the Lowland swamps, a server-change and ... back to the Abyss. No portal chosen at all.

it's dependent on server change.

In a group with 3 others, at least two of us cycle back to the Abyss if we change server but we can all get to the Shadowplane. Just can't get back to Cordor from there ...

A technically minded friend says that because the last point that I was on Surface portal was in the Stonehold Arcanum, my char was saved there.

When you switch servers, it loads up the last point you were saved and then switches to the actual portal you want to go to. But because the Stonehold Arcanum automatically transfers you to the Abyss ... you end up loading up that portal instead of the one you want to go to.

We tried logging in under a different user name and were restored to previous save points (guldo in my case).

Fairly sure that if we try to change server again ... it'll be hellfire for our breakfast toast and demons singing us to sleep

When you switch servers, it loads up the last point you were saved and then switches to the actual portal you want to go to. But because the Stonehold Arcanum automatically transfers you to the Abyss ... you end up loading up that portal instead of the one you want to go to.

To be precise the last spot you are in when you use the stonehold - Arcaneum portal to transition to the Abyss is standing right on that portal.

This portal is not a clickable transition or placeable. It is just the coordinates you stand on. So the next time you enter the surface-server after leaving the abyss - your location is recalled as "stands on the portal to the abyss" and - boom - back to the abyss.

A temp-fix for this endless loop seems to be to change your login-name slightly. I am not entirely sure why, but your last saved location then seems to become a different coordinate and you are not auto-looped into the abyss everytime you try to transition to the surface server.
