chat problem

I had some problem now, I was writing but the game kept sending half sentences, missing words here and there, or even not sending the message at all to the chat window...
what could it mean? lag?
in the second window it didn't always show the translation of what I was saying.
Maybe a bug of my NWN?

ooook, I still experience chat lag problems and I don't think they depend on my internet connection cause I tried playing in other games and it all went flawlessly.
I have a bt keyboard as I got advised when I rejoined so it can't be that too.
I believe it's the NWN version I play with. I hoped it was ready, I'd waited years to buy it but it seems it's not working well (that's my opinion as none with knowledge answers this thread)
I have to stop playing already, well at least I got to burp in face of the matron which, for the lulz, is great (not so much for the health, even though she healed my sickness).

Patience. There are a lot of bug threads and only so many of us, and we respond when and where we can.

In this case, if it's been going on for an extended period of time, I don't think it's lag. Does the issue persist after a clean reinstall of the game? Is it constant or only occasional? Do you encounter the issue in single-player or on other servers?

thanks no I wasn't saying it's arelith's fault but of the game itself.
I find this lag thing often, mostly as I write I see the words appear slowly but last two times I just couldn't rp because what I wanted to say was all written down, then pressed enter and in chat it appeared chewed here and there, missing words, or even not sending anything at all and matron was all upset like "answer!" and me I wuz answering but couldn't send lulz
Some days ago I almost died trying to escape some cockroaches (those who gave me the sickness) because I kept being sent back to them, couldn't flee. I think that was lag of mine though...
I don't experience serious lag in other games, I tried another server and it still gave me slow response, dunno if slower or less slow...
If you want I'm going to reinstall the game in a couple days, from work.

He didn't say others were experiencing it, but this sort of thing has happened before though and it could be specific to Arelith. It helps a lot if you can check some things and give a little more information on what you are doing when it's happening:

• Screenshots so we can see what's happening (for example one where you have the sentence typed, but not spoken and one after it is spoken.
• Make a quick singleplayer game and check if the chat comes out normal there. Might check on a non-Arelith server as well.
• What language are you speaking in (maybe it only happens when you speak undercommon for example)? Does it happen if you speak common as well?

I have lived in the country before, playing Arelith, and I don't think I've seen this issue for bad latency.

Trust me in that I have seen some really serious bizarre stuff come out of a bad connection on NwN. Sometimes I could hear full conversations happening who knows how many areas away to teleporting to completely different places or even BEING TRAPPED in other people's characters.

I'm tempted to think it could be hardware. When you say your game is hanging up and playing catch up as you type that might mean your PC is struggling with the game.
