Date glitch: year numbers progress at wrong rate

Post by Miss Giovanna »

While buying Cordor press, I noted that the latest article was dated 176 AR. This made me wonder what is going on, and I typed -date. Apparently it is currently the tenth month of 176 AR while a recent letter I checked, which was written in the 9th month was dated 175 AR. I assume the year number is derived from the real time date or something like that, and some part of the formula is wrong.

(I already noticed a little after the time changes that the year had progressed from 174 AR to 175 AR in the middle of the year, but I simply assumed it was a second-thought adjustment by the devs)

The portal has accurate time. The in game time is just a display error that will eventually be resolved.

I've had a fix for this for a little while now, but have held off pushing it because it causes some strangeness with the hours of the day and the compass clock... But at this point, screw it, better the hours and compass be a little off versus years.

I'll try to get the fixed push before or over the weekend.

Done.

Just a quick question for clarity: is it just the compass hours that will be off? We can still use -date and see the ticks for the perfectly accurate time?

So we're very much on track.

Yeah, -date will work fine, the compass clock is just worth fighting for.

Done.

Will a bug fix for this affect dates on written notes? It's making archiving a bit interesting to say the least
