The issues: shop sales records are limited to twenty-five entries before they roll off. For shops that sell consumables in high-traffic areas, this often means that sales are lost before they can be tracked. It also means that someone working in an IC position that tracks sales has to check certain shops every day, sometimes twice per day, to maintain accurate records.
The solution: expand the list to give more than twenty-five entries. Ideally, as in the original suggestion, having the current and previous months sales accessible would mean that I could actually take a day off IC work shopkeepers or others tracking sales would have access to all their data. Another alternative would be to have entries roll off after thirty RL days.
