GSID: I got yer Tesla reactor RIGHT HERE

Server: Underdark
Disguised Name: "Wielder of Dark Power (Disguised)"
An ogre mage cast a death spell at my character and killed me despite my character making the save. Nothing else did any damage to me that I could find and it caused me to lose a MoD life. Here's a screenshot:

not that it helps, but if the spell in question is circle of death, it tends to be buggy.
I know on fl it can still kill people who are 9th level. so it's been modified at some point.

Considering the acid damage just after, I bet it's Cloudkill.
In this case, you possible passed the roll to avoid the slowing effect but, considering you are lvl 3, you would die anyway.
Was you lvl 3 when it happened? Considering the combat logs you looks likes a lvl 2 with 20 DEX and 10 CON or a lvl 3 with 18 DEX and 8 CON.

If it's power word kill, I'm pretty sure it makes you roll but regardless, if your HP's under the limit it kills you.

I remember reporting this exact same problem a while ago on my gnoll character facing off against the UD ogre mage. Succeed the fort roll, still died. Made me sad. I was an 11th level barbarian too

shes a level 5 warlock. it wasn't an aura, it was a spell specifically targeted at me. she has 40 hp. whats that limit for power word kill?

Power Word Kill doesn't have a save.

Considering you was killed the same time they took acid damage, I am pretty sure it's Cloudkill spell as it's the only spell I can think of with both death and acid effects. Maybe it's worth checking this spell's script for any possible bugs?
Did you die to this same spell with your 11th barbarian? If yes this is surely bugged.

Mine own suggestion would be to check with this Elisar person and see if they still have a log from then. As a caster, it's more likely they knew what spell it was.

Well it's a year ago and I can't remember excactly what lvl I was, but it was in the range of 9-11. What I DO remember is that I checked on nwnwiki the spell cloudkill and got really confused why I even died to that spell. Unfortunately I can't check the nwnwiki to jostle my memory on the matter because for some reason I can't get access to Nwnwiki.
So, yeah. I died after succeeding a save.
