-ward no longer has a paralyze

Post by Carrion Eater »

Tested it on Live and PGCC, both with a LM Greater Secret of Warding and an ESF: Abjuration -ward against hostile players who were hostiled while outside of the ward and then ran/walked through it. My character is a hemomancer. Prior to recent ward changes, it was reported to me that a hemomancer's ward was triggering the DC against hostile creatures. It has also previously (months ago) been seen working for a WM/LM and a Bard/LM.

Instead of triggering a Will DC vs. Paralyze, it now does nothing.

From the Wiki and in-game respectively:

Upon triggering the sigil by entering its area, it forces a will save in a small area at DC of a 9th-level spell plus abjuration foci and corresponding ability modifier. A failed save paralyzes the targets for one round. Friendly entities don't trigger the sigil upon walking on it.

Is this intended? Is it working for anybody else? Thanks!

edit1: tested it again live, now with a Wizard/LM who has Epic Spell Focus: Abjuration. Hostiled and ran back and forth in the placed -ward without any effect.
