I have been waiting for this for years. I love the new mounts. The camels and wolves are awesome. This is excellent and fun content, and I would love to see more of this sort of thing.
Props to Kroatius for this great addition.

I have a guy I want to have armored dire boar for I been waiting since I first started the game for that! So I am all thumbs up for new mounts!!!!!
Definitely a cool addition, do Underdarkers now have access to a lizard mount? They had a special transport riding system with lizards didn't they?
Draco Deleteur
Dreadlord Lucius Blackhand - "All is as Bane wills it."
I think more thought needs to be put into these changes. The wolf models don't match well with NWN. Are the animals actually restricted to certain races? I saw a human on a wolf earlier. We already have the ability to restrict (see Firbolgs not being able to ride anything), so why not apply it in this case?
It would be great to see actual setting specific mounts.

Um.. no offense, but is that really what they look like ingame? They look like they come from two different games with vastly differing polycounts.. I'm guessing this is because they actually have. Can we possibly have models that actually look like they come from NWN so there isn't a weird anachronism going on with the graphics? Sorry if other people like this, and it is a good idea, but.. it's just not it for me.
Also halflings have "riding dogs", not wolves. They are usually depicted as looking more like mastiffs.

Oh please please please do this
Ok here is the deal with the wolf. Its supposed to be restricted to small races and normally is, a friend and i were playing around with it and found a way to share it. This has been made known to the dms and devs and it will almost certainly be patched in a few resets.
This was just a one off thing that occurred completely by random dumb luck.
And yeah, the model used does look a bit too good compared to most of the background graphics. Maybe that can be changed... we will see?

Absolutely no offence caused. I've asked for assets to be 'dirtied up' before now and this might be a good candidate.
Also there was a bit of a miscommunication on our side with these exotic mounts; I had already said I did not want them as horse replacements and to remain seldom. I play a small race rider and the last thing I want is for he/she to suddenly become an edgy wolfrider - pony is absolutely fine.
I instead asked that such mounts should only be granted on the 'Summon Special Mount' feat (which we will also grant to knights), and by team decision will be a radial with various options showing, based upon one's PC.
Generally I very much want to stick with horses as the 'norm', for one thing because it's a complex system with a number of different breeds offering differing mechanics
This whole area is a bit up in the air right now as, by my own fault, this went live sooner than I'd have liked (or at least without how we implement such an important change having been decided upon.
Maybe this is a good opportunity for me to ask if the old mount issues still exist or have they been fixed in recent times...
Like for example, when you mount you now have large hit box which means you cant easily click-attack other things who are large or huge, and also when you dismount you still keep your large hit box until reset or transitioning to other server that you havent mounted at yet since last reset. Are these old issues still a thing?
I love the new mount skins tho. Finally my dreams of playing princess mononoke can come true.

I love the fact 20 year old elf game is still getting these updates.
Keep it up team!

The great thing is the way it's implemented, you dont lose the option of the pony. You can do either one. I dont see the issue, because its entirely your choice if you want to be wolf rider or pony rider.
I'm probably missing something obvious - but how do you get the wolf.. and how do you not? (playing a hin knight)

It's the light armor regular - not special - summon option now. Just put clothes on and use the basic summon.
