Requesting aid with Brogendenstein and UD history

I must ask for aid from the Arelith community.

I am working on some Brog history and have hit a snag as my memory is so fuzzy. I believe the event I am writing about was during Rugnan Ironbelly's reign as Thane of Brogendenstein. We had a huge event to rescue Gorann Bloodletter from imprisonment in the UD - led by DM Lilac and DM Spector (sp). In this event, several dwarves and some Black Archers from Myon descended into the UD to rescue Gorann Bloodletter - if anyone has any memory of this event - please reach out to me as I try to put a narrative together to accurately portray the story. Some of the characters that I can remember were Hera Braidstone, Glognar Halitt, Vippin, Tok of the Minecarver, Rugnan Ironbelly, Mourn (can't remember clan name) and sadly I can not remember the names of the Myon Black Archers. The drow house that was involved was House Drak'aa.

As far as Game Date? I have no idea - but it was at least 14 RL years ago.

Irongron and DM Iron probably remember this - as I got a lot of stern warnings from DMs about harassing Udos.

If you're writing about this from the perspective of a character in game, then maybe ask around other characters in game. Maybe your character has forgotten details like you have.

This was an event with vivid memories for me, still after all this time. For sure 15-20 years ago by now.

My dwarf was Morn Bloodbeard.

and I think one of the Black Archers was Shalifil Dementhien. Not entirely sure, but it is a name I remember seeing frequently and played with during those days of high Adventure. (Conan Theme playing)

Oh excellent! Would you mind relaying what you can remember? I can remember meeting the avatar of Moradin, two Underbeasts, a hoard of Duergar ... but did we find an Illithid? Or beholder? I do remember the Black Archers saved our bacon a few times.

I remember the long and deadly march ascending the dark spires towards the peak (back those days traveling could be deadly, even in a group haha) where we've met the dwarven avatar. Battling through the Underdark (I think back then the duergar warriors in Umbricks Halls had devastating critical. So every now and then even Dwarven veterans were knocked flat). Cannot remember fighting Underbeasts during the event but I can recall these things for sure. Meeting these things ended up in TPK a few times lol. I was not present during the entire event, due to timezone availability and it lasted for a couple of days? Weeks? Not sure anymore. But I think in the end we found ourselves in an Illithid Lair where Gorann 'Scar' Bloodletter was taken captive. I think his hair turned grey/white and I was shocked. Maybe this is just my imagination...

Thank you Morn - yes the event went on for hours and hours .... we had not planned that, but that is D&D ... you think it will last 2 or 3 hours, it ends up being 18.

I think you're right on the one Black Archer name ... I will use that. I am hoping to get everyone's name - if I can. I remember you, Glognar, Rugnan ... and I know we had more dwarves but, can't remember their names, do you?

I am trying to remember how Gorann was captured ... if you can help me, I'd much appreciate it. I think he was poisoned by drow, taken captive, and sold to Illithids, but I'm not sure. And - I'm not sure WHY Gorann was captured IC - I know player wise he shelved Gorann - but IC wise, was it due to Hera freeing Deedle from drow slavery? I think that's right, but can't fully remember.

Yes, Madam Eden, I will get you the info - in fact, I will attach some files here so that you can use them as you see fit - though I didn't keep track of game dates.
