Fighter - Pugilist

The damage bonus from fighter isn't stacking on gauntlets/gloves, it does if you unequip and equip them, but if changing any other gear or resting then Pugilist replaces the Fighter damage bonus instead of stacking. When I equip regular gloves it shows as +2 AB and +3 damage, but then when I change rings for instance, my gloves become +2 AB and +1 damage. Pugilist should be giving me +1 damage but it's replacing instead of stacking.
